Short version: it's a catalogue of films. Keep it one.

The category rule

Deliberately adding non-films is a bannable offence. Behind-the-scenes, tool demos, reels, tutorials, promotional content — none of it belongs here. Repeat or bulk offenders lose the account, and everything they added is rolled back in one operation.

Voting

One account, one vote per film. Brigading, vote rings, and sockpuppets are detected and reviewed by a human. Crowd votes never delete anything — a bad film gets a bad score, not an erasure; removal happens only through human review of "not a film" reports.

Appeals

Every enforcement action can be appealed at /appeal or via butter@popcorn.movie. A human reads every appeal.

Your content

Notes and lists you publish here are public and attributed to you. Films stay on YouTube and belong to their creators; we store metadata and embed the official player.
