On the practical side, having an editor’s instinct also saves you credits in tool usage. Coverage is a totally different concept in AI filmmaking, and if you try to generate enough shots for traditional coverage, you would burn through your credits and get frustrated quickly. I really love your short film. The story feels emotionally resonant and very poignant, given the “loneliness epidemic” of modern life. The main character feels real and believable. The clean colors and simplicity of the set design add emotional weight to the contrast of his prior, colorful life seen in the photograph. And, I agree that the editing is what makes this work.
