Amazing work, the pacing is tight and the visuals are crispy. Before the Battle of Cajamarca, Atahualpa was given a bible or breviary (here its shown as a crucifix). Some accounts suggest he held the book to his ear, expecting to literally hear a voice. When the book remained silent, he dismissively dropped or threw it to the ground.
