Project Odyssey
Civitai's giant open AI filmmaking competition
Project Odyssey, founded by Matty Shimura with Civitai, is the biggest open AI filmmaking competition by raw volume: its first two seasons drew over 6,000 films from 2,000+ teams across 87 countries, with more than $70,000 in cash prizes and gala screenings for the winners. Season 3 aims to double that.
It runs across nine categories, from narrative shorts to music videos and 3D animation, and doubles as a proving ground for the open-model community. The films below carry the competition's tag on YouTube and passed our checks for recent, genuinely AI-made film work.
